What Leadz Category Snapshots Show About Contact Coverage
Revision note: Added reproducible first-party snapshot comparison with six category denominators, separate retrieval/save/aggregate dates and explicit methodology limits.
Business inventory totals and email-available record counts answer different questions. To show the difference, we reviewed stored public-page snapshots for six Leadz categories and calculated each category's email and phone availability as a share of its own recorded total.
This is a study of historical Leadz inventory aggregates. It is not an industry census, a current mailbox test or a count of unique people. Download the coverage study CSV to inspect the inputs and calculations.
Which categories and dates were used?
We selected architects, dentists, electricians, plumbers, restaurants and roofing contractors because they provide useful comparisons across professional practices, trades and local-service businesses. This is a purposeful selection, not a representative sample of all Leadz categories or all US businesses.
The national public-page snapshots were saved July 18, 2026 and retrieved for this article on September 6, 2026. Their embedded aggregate last-updated values are dated December 14, 2025. These three dates describe different stages of the stored data; none establishes the last time each individual record or mailbox was verified.
We read the existing published snapshot aggregates. We did not re-collect business records, independently deduplicate companies or run mailbox validation for this article. The state snapshots discussed in the territory planning guide have a different save date and are not combined with these national denominators.
Email and phone availability by category
Percentages use each row's stored business total and are rounded to one decimal place.

For example, the architect email share is 25,681 divided by 68,809, or approximately 37.3%. The restaurant snapshot has a lower email share but a larger absolute email-available count. A percentage and an absolute count describe different aspects of inventory.
What the counting method includes
The stored aggregates are labeled as primary-contact availability. The current statistics repair code excludes null and empty-string primary values, but we did not rerun that code or verify the generation history of every historical snapshot. Treat these as stored counts, not an independent validation. Whitespace-only or otherwise unusable values can require additional cleaning; none of these counts establishes mailbox operation, recipient identity or permission to contact.
The totals describe business records. Locations, aliases and possible duplicate entries may affect the relationship between records and unique companies. Categories may overlap, so adding all six rows would not establish a combined unique-company universe.
Additional email or phone arrays are not a basis for calling these totals unique recipients. See the CSV dictionary for the distinction between primary fields and exported additional-contact fields.
What can a buyer reasonably conclude?
Within these stored snapshots, primary phone availability exceeds primary email availability in all six selected categories. Architects have the highest email share among this particular selection. Restaurants have the highest email-available record count among these six.
Those observations can guide sample questions. An email-led workflow needs to inspect email availability in the actual relevant territory, then assess account fit and the contact route. A larger national business total cannot substitute for that work.
The figures do not show which channel produces better outreach results. They also do not establish how many records have both email and phone: separate marginal counts cannot reveal their intersection. No reply rates, purchase intent or current export yield were measured.
Use the findings to design a sample review
Choose the category that matches your offer first. Then review a current segment for location fit, possible duplicate accounts, primary contact availability and unresolved role research. Record the search date and your own observed counts separately from this study's historical inputs.
